Just a quick note to say that our Pete Biro's Plumber's Sticks have arrived in Montreal!
It looks (and works) great! Can't wait to start putting it into my show. The only change I "might" make is to make the washer's a much bigger size so the audience in the back of the room can see them --adding to the comical effect. Really a brilliant idea and brilliant piece of work. Many (many) thanks Pete! Jonathan

...They sure did (make it through US/Canadian customs)!
And in record Time!!! I think, Pete, that you must have a some of your "people" installed as Custom Agents just to move things over the Border so smoothly!! Again, many thanks! Jonathan

In fact, the on-line video of Plumber's sticks on Steven's Magic Emporium does no justice for the visual and comedy potential of this great effect. Sadly, the magician demonstrating this effect, though well-intended, shows no spark nor genuine fun performing the routine --so it (IMHO) comes across as boring. Believe me, in reality, in the hands of an animated and capable performer, this effect is a gem of an item with great comic potential.
Just my 3 cents worth. Jonathan

Dear fellow Café members,
Kindly note that I started this particular thread in order to post my own brief (very positive) review on Pete Biro's Plumber's Sticks. I had hoped that others familiar with Pete Biro's particular prop/effect would post their own honest reviews. This has happened --to some extent, but (sadly) I can see that this thread may soon turn into a heated debate between Pete's "Plumber's Sticks" and David Regal's recently released "Plumber's Helper". As noted, this was not my intention. For those wishing to see the (very positive) reviews of David Regal's amazing device, kindly click on the following link: http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......orum=109 For those that have performed with Pete's device (Plumber's Sticks, please help to get this thread back on track and post your own review of this specific item for others to consider. Thanking you in advance. Sincerely, Jonathan
Jonathan
