I was thinking about having someone advertise for you. See who would be interested in giving out your business cards to help you make more sells, as they get paid. Your business is on the cards but the person handing them out has their phone number. When a prospect calls the person, the person will call you next to see if you are available for that date and time. Make a deal with that person so you will pay them upon commission/flat rate to every show they can find you that is approved. That person should be willing to hand out the cards to the right people. Let's say you give them $20 per approved show. And of course train that person so they will know how to describe your business. Maybe a college student will do for a part time job. Any comments?

Not in that exact method but certainly a referral or finder's fee system isn't unheard of.
Go for it. Would you pay $20 for someone to get you a gig? Um, yep. |

We used to call those people "agents", but maybe times have changed...?

It looks more like a promoter to me.

Yea, because a promoter would push to make a sale. Agents relax and wait until the prospects come to them.

Metro Detroit is presently the highest unemployed area in the USA. I am promoting as much as possible.
