For fast general use the Yoshino is great if your hands look like its mold. However extended display of the hand in comparison with a real hand a la certain effects where there prop is not in motion and can be studied, renders the stock version less effective than a custom made and colored piece.
Also - if you are, as I am. a left handed person, thumb position on most stock props is for right handed people. It is my opinion, however, no one has fully explored the range of use this simple prop can offer, especially if different (but matching) hands are used in various ways other than for just holding a seance cloth.

I've even added rings to my 3rd hands, so they match the real ones. Such a subtlety, that once afellow magi asked me "how did you do that if you don't use a 3rd hand?"
