Im sticking with the classic "put your hands behind your back and try and separate them. Now open the hand with the copper coin."
Anyone have another favorite?

I like the one where you make the Mexician coin penetrate thru your hand.

I enjoy showing the copper & silver and holding the additional copper coin ( palmed of course ) in my left hand, I than hold the 2 coins in the air for misdirection as I load the additional coin under a bottle or glass.I than lock the 2 together and show the copper coin has vanished. You can than say look under the bottle or glass, this sounds hokey but is very good for laymen.

I used to have a copper/silver coins in my right hand turn into two silver coins, then back again, and finally the copper coin vanish. I would then slowly remove the copper coin from beneath my watch on my left hand.
I stopped doing that recently since people were starting to make guesses about why two different coins suddenly became two of the same. And most times they were correct. Sooo, what I do now is this: I have the two coins in my right hand, have the person name one of them, and then close my fist. Depending on which one she named, I'll make the appropriate patter about making that coin vanish. I usually say something like: "I want you to concentrate on the coin you just chose. See it in your mind. And now, I want you to visualize that coin slowly vanishing from my hand." I then open my hand slowly to show that the coin has vanished right in front of her face. Absolutely amazing! Sometimes I'll make it appear under my watch (or elsewhere); sometimes I'll just let the effect stop at that point for maximum impact. I consistently get a better response with this method, that the first one listed above. Brian |

I just got a magnetic set and don't have anything to do with it past the obvious. I want to know if there is any thing different with this set pros or cons.

A coin FLY routine: the centavo fly from the left hand to the right hand. (You can back palm the real centavo at first)

MxJoKeR - The magnetic set avoids the hassle of a bang ring and the loud rapping noses that come with it. A good tap on you hand will dislodge the insert. Depending on what set you have, there can also be many more possiblities.
--------------------------------------- I like having one coin disappear from one hand and jump to my other hand (previously shown empty). Anything where it disappears and travels somewhere seemingly impossible. I also like the centavo (or penny) changing to a quarter thing. Not exactly original, but great reactions.

This time around, I may buy some gaffed coins when I've worked up to that level in Bobo; but until then . . . it's nice to have someone more experienced corroborate my opinion on sleights. Cheers! I use an old method of showing a matchbox empty. Then I do the usual routine. In the end I show that the Centavo has traveled to the previously empty matchbox.

Pouring it into a tall glass over ice, then making it disappear down my throat. Sorry, had to do that. Actually, I do something similar to the effect of making the copper disappear and be replaced with a quarter, but I have the copper re-appear across the room under someone's seat.

Do a spellbound routine with the insert, then end up with the 50 cent piece, ending up completely clean.
Mediocrity is greatly under rated!

I've been working on an idea with a Scotch and Soda set (though like Mr. Neighbors mentioned earlier in the thread I use a loose one too). Anyway the idea was for a visual transposition for a Copper/Silver Transpo effect. At the end you would be completely clean, still working on it though so who knows...
