Do you have a worker routine that is practical when doing strolling magic? It could be gaffed, it doesn't matter, as long as it is practical and doesn't require an elaborate set up. Is this routine different from "red hot mama" and "ambitious card", perhaps not so well known? Does it get great reactions? How about starting a thread on this....
I'll start.... "Stuck up Monte" by Mark Mason. It requires a gaff but is very practical in walk around, and it is a fantastic routine. If you don't do this routine and you are looking to add another card routine to your repertoire, I highly recommend you check this one out! It is on one of Mark Mason's dvds. Looking forward to contributions from others...

Hi aussiemagic:
BTW, Good topic. In my case: After receiving "Twisted Sister", I've changed it over to 4 Aces, that are ex******le. Ended up being a 'almost'-mirror image-of "Duplicity", without knowing it. 2 specs. involved. No equivoque. Each spec. names an Ace. Only restriction: Once the first Ace is named, that Ace is not an option, for the other spec.. I've received wonderful compliments, which is very rewarding. Warmest regards, Sixten |

Speaking of 'Montes' 'Gypsy Monte' by Paul Wilson. It is in a booklet by him and also on his dvd. In the hands,no gimmick, resets, plus a nice little story.

Leap of Faith (Bill Malone's handling of Paul Harris' Las Vegas Leaper). It can be found in AoA #1. To the spectators it appears that 2 of volunteers counted ten cards each IN THEIR OWN HANDS, and then you cause the three of the cards to leave one packet and appear in the other. Its a really great cards across routine that requires no set up and can be done with a borrowed deck.

In keeping with the Monte trend on this thread, I'll continue to sing Garrett Thomas' Stand Up Monte praises. The routine resets instantly, contains about 4-5 solid minutes of great magic, and the hardest part to the routine is remembering the sequences, but isn't technically demanding at all. It plays great for laymen and I have used it in my performances for years.
Another great effect that I carry daily is Jim Pace's "The Magic List". Perform this and Garrett Thomas' Stand Up Monte at a table, and you have a good 7-9 minutes of solid magic for a single table with only two tricks.
