Does anybody have any ideas on how to make a coin that is twisted? Instead of doing a coin bend, I want to literally twist the coin, similar to what Jay Sankey does with a key. I'm not sure how I might go about making something like this. Also, forgive me if this is in the wrong section.

I'd tape 4-6 in a cross pattern of overlapping coins on a railroad track and see what you wind up with.

I am not sure physics are on your side given the geometry of a coin. I'd try a vise and some wide heavy vice-grips just to see what it looks like. It may come out more warped than twisted.

Hey Mark, Never saw Sankey's key, but,Years ago, Gary Kurtz had a twisted coin, I believe it was Futagawa's who actually manufactured this coin.

Shigeo Futagawa still runs his "magic house" in Japan, and writes and speaks English very well. I think you can find his website pretty easily with google.

The Futagawa coin is twisted like a corkscrew. I think you've got to make four cuts in the coin in order to achieve that shape.
