Liquid Heat was made by using Muriatic Acid, I know this because I use to sell this back in the early 80's, this stuff is caustic and has nasty side effects. I recently saw an ad for HEAT on one of the auction sites, if you want it try there....hope this helps.

I use muriatic acid in the pool once in a while. Not very much at one time, and you can imagine how diluted it is in a pool full of water. Even diluted that extremely, you're not supposed to go into the water for several hours after adding it. Doesn't sound like something you want to put on a person's hand, does it?

I'm not sure where the mystery is in this "brilliant effect." Wouldn't anyone with a few brain cells immediately suspect a chemical? And now we're finding out that it's MERCURY?!? Holy mazzoli....I can smell the lawsuits from here.

Years ago, I was shown that it if you shave the heads off box matches and grind them up into a powder, it achieves the same effect when moistened and applied to tin foil.
