These dvd's are awesome, they cleared up a few things for me but most of all they gave me the courage to keep trying.
I already owned reality is plastic, which by the way is a must buy, even if you have the dvd's. I have tried to hypnotise a few times and I can get the easy things like stiff arm and levitating(rising) arm easily but whenever I make em do something more hallucinatory( I hope that's an english word) they'd clearly be "reluctant" which says to me they're not really hypnotised, but I'll keep trying by god and I'll make em see what I want to see MWUHAHAHAHAH anyway great dvd's |

Chris is definitely hypnotized but he can't quite say his name is "Jenny Camelhumper", Anthony has to help him with the words. I think you probably just need practice in leading your subjects to that point. Myself, in my experiments I frist tried to jump to a pretty strong suggestion right away and that was a mistake. Im trying to 'ease into it' more now. But remember no matter how good the hypnotist and/or subject, there will be things they can't do. I'm a good subject but I can't do visuals.

..... yeah most people are actually kinesthetic we're told ( although I tend to argue with that). followed by seeing, then hearing.
I have had many subjects who simply cannot imagine visually. But that's ok. A good hypno finds out how they're brain works and uses what he/she has. This includes many free-association therapists who don't even use hypnosis.

I've usually keep it easier for myself and when describing a instruction I would use all three types. Easiest example is with magnetic hands or fingers, I would tell them that they will see it (in the case of magnetic fingers), feel the magnets pulling, and hear the rubberband stretching tighter and tighter (if it was magnetic fingers). With magnetic hands some of the patter changes to some of the deepening patter (as you hear the sound of my voice, as you hear the sounds around you, the magnets will become stronger and stronger). This way you hit them at all three senses and one of them is bound to have a good impact on them. As always, get them use to listening for instructions and complying with you early on (aka yes sets). If you condition them well enough, they tend to automatically go along with your suggestions.

I just want to say thanks to all who have put in their experience here. I bought this and went through it once and feel that this DVD fits in with my style, character and how people perceive me, so I want to go in deeper with more viewing and am awaiting RIP from Nongard (book & DVD) and will take it slow at first, to marinate in understanding this and go in for my first time.
Anthony's routine with the pyro gimmick on the PDF is one that I really want to work on. Also, my wifes eyes get glassy eye'd when I talk to her most of the time, so this should not be a problem with her! I will just yell out "Sleep" and see what happens. LOL! I am looking forward to all who post in to learn more...thanks. -Scott M. |

I greatly enjoyed Antony's DVDs and a working stage hypnosist (over 300 shows a year)
I can stay 2 thumbs up, a great introduction. |

I bought RIP not long before MA came out and it really got me on the way to just getting out and giving stuff a go. I pre-ordered MA and as soon as I got it, settled in for a big session in front of the Samsung. Absolutely love Anthony's (and the rest of the boshing crew) plain english, no deep and mysterious, explanations. It all just seemed to make sense. Had no problem in taking the ideas out and about the first weekend after I got the DVDs, and was consequently sticking people's hands to their chairs, drinks etc and even got my first name amnesia. Was on a roll, so just went for it, and soon had a Jenny Camelhumper on my hands (you'll understand once you get the dvd). The basic set pieces and inductions are worth the price alone, but add all the other mentalism ideas and bits and pieces and it's just such a good buy. Speaking of good buy...good bye. matt

I know this is a very old post but I just wanted to add my appreciation along to the bottom, the DVD set is in a word awesome.
Just starting to work my way through the book (RIP) now, I'm hoping that having watched the DVD first I may be able to follow what has been written a lot easier. |

The book and the dvd together are just awesome. I practiced the techniques for a week and after 2 days of hypnosis on real people I was lucky enough to find the perfect subject for hypnosis. Fortunately he is my classmate

The companion RIP video (separate) purchase is incredibly good to! I'm still anticipating the release of the Trilby Connection set, have it pre-ordered.

I've not seen the DVD's but have no doubt that from Anthony and Kev they will be very slick and concise.
The real thing is, and it's been said, it's a lot easier to be The Hypnotist with people who don't know you as anything else. It's my experience that just saying you are the Hypnotist is enough for the people who will go, however as someone has said, everything is an experiment. Especially inductions. As I say in my book "Don't look in his eyes" if you make the induction a - "Lets try something and see what happens?" You Can Not Fail. If it doesn't work smile confidently as if you knew that would be the result. Say, "That's Interesting." Move on to the next induction. Don't do this on stage however this is for 1 on 1 impromptu stuff. However just for the record, I've successfully hypnotised 10's of thousands of people - but I have not hypnotised millions! Forget it, move on, find the ones you can do. ;-) Smiles Jon Chase |
