I this question in the "Penny For Your Thoughts" forum and I'd try here as well.
Many years ago, I saw an effect done where the the date on a coin was predicted. Several coins were used. They may have all been the same value. The coins were dropped on a table and eliminated based on falling heads up or heads down, until only one coin was left. I was told this idea might have been created by Johnny Thompson and another fellow. I know the method used. I've also seen this done with rune stones by a magician from Germany and by Sankey using symbols drawn on coins. Does anyone know the name of the original effect and where it appears? Thanks! Craig

Horace Bennett published a method for that effect in his first book titled "Bennetts Best". You can purchase the book through Jerry Mentzer.

Correct, I saw it here as well long time back.

Gentlemen, thanks for your input. But, I might not have been clear though.
I know the method used. What I don't know is who first came up with the idea and where they might of published it. That's the information I was hoping to get. You see, I have my own presentation for this that I want to write up and put on the Café, along with the creators name. Maybe know one knows. Craig

I think Johnny Thompson does this on his DVD set, I'll check to see if he has any history on it.
