OK, I have no issue with the fact the thread was deleted. In fact I made a joke about it on the thread and was counting down the hours...

I asked for citation of this guideline as it will happen again and irritate people if it is not easily recognized in the posted guidelines. Simply looking out for the Café here.

I've read through a couple of times, yet I don't see a guideline or rule, unless I missed.

Steve Brooks, can you please add the guideline in plain english for all to abide by.

Bill, I'm not Steve but debunking or topics revolving around skeptics used be held in the stand the test forum. Because of major abuse in that forum, it was removed in it's entirety. Steve posted the reason for this so no rule is necessary. We just don't have a forum to be used for that purpose.

As was pointed out in the PM he is refering to. But the point does remain that new members who never knew of Stand The Unrest do not know of the history. Granted, most when PMed of the policy will simply comply rather than keep asking "Where is it written?"; but he does have a point.

Exactly Tom. I agree that the bickering that ended up closing the Stand the Test is not wanted, and thusly it just needs to be plainly put that debunking posts as such are not allowed.

In my experience here the Rule is that anything that is really stupid can be deleted, no questions asked and no explanations given.

Private forums aren't democracies. They're private businesses. The best members can hope for is a benevolent dictator.
