Any consensus on who makes the best card decks for card manipulations, back palming, etc.?

Make your own.
take a razor blade, a deck of cards, and cut lines from top to bottom, then left to right, on the back of each card. apply fanning powder or not. and viola. |

Bridge size by Norm Neilsen at http://www.nnmagic.com I like the $5 deck
new poker size at http://www.stevensmagic.com bridge size Lance Burtons are good There are a lot of manipulation cards on the market currently. Julianna Chen has not produced hers in plastic, will last a long time The above is used for back palming, not for a fanning demonstration, decks with blocks of color are used for fanning it is best to use bridge size, for the colors to blend into designs. |

Murphy's Manipulation Cards work very well for backpalming, available from Denny and Lee Magic Studio:

I use Nielsen Manipulation cards and have been for the past 10 years. As James mentioned, you can break a red-baked deck of Bee cards into a manip deck. I tried the Peter Marvey cards and where not too happy with them or the Vernet cards. Most likely my problem was the fact that I was so used to the Nielsen cards.
