Please reserve Saturday, May 8, 2010, for Michigan Magic Day in Grand Rapids, Michigan. See http://magicbob.org/MichiganMagicDay/index.htm for details or visit http://www.Ring211.com as details develop. Michigan Magic Day 2009 in Kalamazoo had international top flight talent that might ever, never be topped!

So for 2010, the direction for MMD will be slightly different. The events will feature Michigan magicians and comaraderie. A public show will be produced (in a Children's Hospital and probably broadcast on cable access) to enhance our relationship with our community. The MMD venue itself will attempt to be an excellent one for viewing and hearing all programs and lectures. Registration fees will be kept to a minimum, $25 is the goal.

The location will be the beautiful East Auditorium of Spectrum Health's Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The stage is very large and has tiered comfortable seating for 327. There will be small additional rooms for dealer space. There are three excellent restaurants within the hospital and many more nearby. An AV specialist will be there the entire day to offer experienced sound and lighting assistance. Close up performers will have their work projected onto a large screen.

So we look forward to your participation! Please contact MagicBob through http://www.magicbob.org or through the sponsoring IBM Ring 211 if you are interested in performing, being a dealer, competing, assisting, you name it. See you all there! Should be a blast!

This has got to be the best deal in magic. $25 for a full day registration, doors open at 7AM. The Friday Night Before Party includes food and beverage is only $7.50. $7.50! Are you kidding me? No dealer fees either- bring your own stuff to sell. FAB Magic/Rick Fisher will be there as will Hippity Hop Magic, Hank Morehouse, many more. Stage contests with cash prizes, limited to amateurs. Some of the folks there include Gene Anderson, Nathan Kranzo, Jania Taylor, Alan Kazam, Gil Scott, P.J. Weber, Keith Kocher, Chaz King with more to come. Multiple magic lectures plus an All-Star Evening Magic Show. All for $25???- No, this is not a typographical error. WOW! http://www.michiganmagicday.com See you on May 7 and May 8 in Grand Rapids. What a great Magic Day- designed for you to have magical fun, learn a thing or two, and not completely drain your wallet! Thanks to Ring 211 for putting this on. The regular 211 monthly magic meeting last night at Brann's Restaurant was totally packed out and a blast to be there. What a great Ring!
