Apart from that I do wish to apologise to the makers. I've listened to what they have to say and I guess in THIS particular occasion I was wrong to write what I did. And yes I have heard that you are straight guys and I certainly regret making you feel any more frantic by what I wrote. As a token of apology I will rather humbly purchase this item (at the increased price since it serves me right for being so crass!) Obviously I would have purchased it anyway since it does seem more than worth the money. In fact it does seem like a work of pure genius. Anyway, please accept my apologies. Sorry. Bob

Chrstopher,
Thank you for allowing me to save $50.00, The wait was worth it, and as always you have gone out of your way to give the best product for the price. John

Bobser,
Thank you for your apology! Our point was not prove anybody wrong, just to try & explain the obligations we were under that tied our hands. Anyways to come on a public forum & apologize speaks volumes about your character :o) Luke, ActorScotty & John, it is great to hear that you have received your products & that you are happy! This last year & a half of working on ALONE with Christopher has been a long haul (demos, R&D, design, prototypes etc) so your thoughts are very much appreciated. Cheers, Matt Johnson |

Whilst I don't intend to debate the validity or otherwise of the pricing issue, I do wish to reference one point i.e. ethics.
I've known Christopher Taylor for many years, as a champion martial artist, magician and brilliant innovator. Whether it be martial arts, magic or business, there are fewer people I'd rather have in my "ethical corner" than he. Considering that he has shipped hundreds of products all over the world and earned himself a reputation as one of the most trusted in the business, I would suggest that those feeling slighted consider that there are dozens of unethical companies out there who would not care in the slightest about customer concerns. Taylor Imagineering is clearly not one of these. From dozens of past posts, (do a search and you will see) I am not alone in that opinion. The free offer of an "expansion pack" is indeed a sincere attempt to correct a contractual oversight and should be seen for what it is i.e.. a generous gesture from a very ethical, conscientious dealer. Received mine as well, as expected, great packaging, extremely well made props and the DVD has everything needed to not only get you started , but get your brain going, anyone who has this will easily come up with their own variation and have an exclusive routine, all we need now is a password protected forum to openly discuss amongst each other.

Got mine today as well, I live in CA. Haven't gotten time to play with it yet, but just want to praise the customer service I got from Christopher, he was very quick to reply all my emails and answer my questions. He is a great person to deal with. Will definitely not be my last purchase with him.

I'd like to read some reviews. Experiences. Test trials.
I received mine today but am still going over the wealth of material supplied and also wondering what could possibly be included in the expansion pack that hasn't already been covered in the excellent DVD. So what's the buzz? Heads or Tails and Which Hand immediately caught my eye. |

I'm not a big fan of either of those effects Dan... However I like the Hot/Cold effect immensely.

I went back over the thread and don't see that anyone HAS complained since Christopher made his very generous offer of the expansion pack for those who purchased before the originally promised pre-order date. As someone who did express slight disappointment at the early end of the pre-order period, let me also say that I am VERY happy with the consolation offer made by Christopher and I promptly put in my order once it was made. I think the offer was more than fair but also appropriate. Thank you Christopher and I really look forward to getting Alone! Mike |

A mentalist performs Bank Night, a book test, and a drawing dupe for his act. One day, a genie appears before him, granting him one wish. The mentalist tells the genie that he wants to have real mind reading powers. The genie snaps her fingers and so it becomes. The mentalist now has the power to truly read minds. For his next show, he performs Bank Night, a book test, and a drawing dupe.
What does this have to do with Alone? Well, I received it a few days ago, watched and absorbed the DVD material, customized it for my business cards, and have begun to experiment with it. There are several routines I currently perform that will be much cleaner and ultimately, stronger as a result of this amazing product. But I think its true power won't be applying it to what I currently do. The challenge and ultimate reward will be in coming up with brand new, innovative effects that could never be accomplished in any other way. For me, that won't happen out of the box. It'll take some time. It'll be challenging and exciting. That's what I love most about Alone. Thanks genie! |

Is this something you could easily carry with you all the time? Is it always ready to go? Is there some hidden bulky gismo that must be turned on? I'm looking for any performance restrictions that will determine how often I might use this.
Thanks Steve |
