I'm not Whit, but I like Whit's routine. I've modified it slightly, swapped out the aerial link for something that I can do every time, with good results. It's easy to learn, but like all of these things requires practice to make it really entertaining.

Pete is the key link for ring knowledge. But ringing is key to get into this Chinese circle. I'm looking forward to Pete's publications.

Though you do work the audience well.

I hadn't heard of Gilbert Schnockleman since he worked the Peanut Butter Festival in Bainbridge, Georgia.

IMO, Schnockleman's one-handed count is exceptionally deceptive, particularly in how he tosses the rings around his back and over his shoulder. I didn't see you do that, Mike--any particular reason why?

I never heard of Gilbert Schnockleman. I would like to see his routine. I could not find him on You Tube. I just noticed I could not find him on the internet also. Is his name spelled right?

I like that idea, Donal. I will play with it today.

Thanks for the compliments gentlemen.

Yes it was a good joke, Donal, but I still see it as a good idea to practice. Smile

You guys had better watch out. Mike just might work out a one-handed, over the shoulder toss ring count.

People do that sometimes. About 25 years ago, Roger Crabtree decided he wanted to win the TAOM close up competition, so he asked Don Alan what he should do. Figuring that he would send Roger on a snipe hunt, he told Roger to work out a routine where he produced a live mouse that would run around the brim of a derby he was wearing and disappear into a door in the hat.

Roger worked it out.

He won the trophy.

And Don Alan accused him of stealing his routine -- which DON HAD NEVER PERFORMED!!!!!!!!!

But I'll let you perform it. Smile

Bob Swadling worked out a hands-free count for his daughter's act. One at a time the rings fly up out of a container and she catches them.

Well you have to admit that Gil Snockerman's variation on the Fredrick Cramzingamer subtilty is far superior to the Heronimous Merkin penetration move.

I speak several different dialects of English, including middle high English. I live in the hood, though.

Cramzingamer's take on the Merkin move was nothing more than using two fingers instead of three. It galled me that, until his last breath, he trumpeted that bit as the biggest breakthrough in linking ring manipulation since Fernlip's double opening key.
