Hi Ses - They are not knock offs, they are in regular Squirmle packaging, I've seen them in several Wal-Marts at the checkouts. In fact, I bought one to compare to the Magic Worm I was pitching at the time (along with the deck). I did switch to Sqiurmles from Carl because the packaging is much nicer and the gimmick is less visible and comes already attached.

Hi Bill. I have seen the regular squirmles there but there was a few posts I read where folks mentioned the knock offs that were something like 3 for $1...

I think I remember someone saying they had seen those in the craft department, but I've looked there and have not found them.

I have seen them always located right by the cash registers with the candy bars and magazines , AND on the bottom shelf haha You have to really look for them if you want to find them, May be a box of candy bars in front of them ha

About three years ago Wal Mart has 3 squirmles in one package for .98.They were in the craft section and were on a rack with other stuff used in decoration for things like cake etc. They had no I.T. at all either on them or in the package or directions as to what they were.So they were to sold as cake decorations.

David,
The one you got is NOT a knock off( not that you said they were). Its the real squirmle. The knock offs use to be in the craft department. They came 3 in a package for.98,no directions or string. Later,Don |

Hey Don,
I understand that -- I made sure that I DID NOT get the knock offs - the 3 in 1 pack! Also, just wanted to make sure that any still interested, WalMart still carries them Anyhow, thanks for affirming that I got the real stuff! And now on to your DVD!!! David |

I picked up two at a Cracker Barrel restaurant the other day. Not sure what the name was. I don't have them in front of me now.
They came with the gimmick attached and seemed to move pretty well. I paid just under $2.00 for each. Now I gotta get Don's DVD. I think I could use this to build a tip in my street show. I think it's perfect. People in their late 30's and 40's will remember it from when they were kids so they'll want to come and see if that's what they think it is. The younger set will just come by because it looks cool and they'll want to see what it is too.

I realise this is a very old thread. I see squirmles sold under lots of different names, brands.
What is the deal? Is anyone allowed to brand them or is 1 type only authorised? I am asking as I'm after buying some cheaply but don't want to buy "copies" |

If looking for cheap version then contact dwright@aaglobal.com
250 for $35. I think it comes out to about .14 cents each. in 2" hard plastic capsules (free carrying case). Once they fluff up a bit they look like any other. A&A Global call them Willy Worms. Can buy by the bag even cheaper. It's local Pick up for me, not sure what shipping cost will add. Hope you find useful |
