I joined Face Book. Those friends referrals are coming in fast. Are they expecting us to chat with them daily or what? Will we look stupid if no communication is done? Is chatting about our business good for marketing? Is there a record of each post we put on there?

I know what yo mean
I get at least a dozen a week and I am not sure how all these people keep up with face book myspace and the like.

I go one once or twiice a day to tell peple and friends about upcoming gigs or new things I am working on.

once in awhile it has been nice to meet up with some one and chat with them in chat area.

It can not hurt to have your name and info out there in one more palce then more people kow about you.

have fun
I will seach for you and send another friend notice:)

Do each of our post go to each friend? Or do we have to post to each friend individually?

I have not been keeping up with all that stuff. I hope no one asked me a question, and they think I am ignoring them.

Depends where you post.

If you post on your wall, all your frieds will see it/have access to it. If you post on a friends wall, only some may see it (depending on yours and that persons chosen viewing controls). You can send privat messages as well.

If you have a group facebook site, you can message all members or separate one.

I'm on facebook because some friends are, and they asked me to be too. But they will only get a message at Christmas and on their birthday. Life is too short; if I want to get in touch I'll pick up the phone.

I signed up with Facebook quite a while ago because friends urged it as the thing to do.

At first, I tried to respond to the requests, however, since no form of high speed internet is available where I live, it was just far too time consuming. Now, I don't even remember how to get onto the site.

As Yoda says: “Do, or don’t do!”

I think this is true of Facebook,
either learn how to use it as a tool,
realize you’re getting married to the system,
or leave it alone and do other marketing.

Do realize you can just use it for family and close friends to stay in touch,
or you can use it as a marketing tool for business.

I don’t recommend sitting on the fence though,
too many people value the system and its potential.
Same with Twitter, which is even harder to tame.

And for Christmas ask Santa for:
February 2010 “Facebook Marketing: An Hour a Day” $29.99

Magically,
Walt
