A friend of mine is getting married on Friday the 13th next month and wanted me and another friend to do bizarre magic at his wedding reception. I was excited about it until I found out it was on my wife's birthday. So, I can't do it!
So, that is kind of a strange venue for bizarre magic. Has anyone out there ever done bizarre at a wedding? Sounded fun!

Yes. But leave it late and save it for the 'favourites'.
Lead in with some strong or 'challenging' mentslism if necessary. Further details in my book (shameless plug). Doug's dark musuem foe instance is a good way in.

Steve's book as excellent. The effects are superb. If you are a true Bizarrist you should buy this book.

In my country no body want bizare magick show in their wedding...especially their parents, they don't want ghost or spirit comes to their party, bring them bad luck...especially the old Chinese people here still believe bizarre magick is real black magick.heh3x...

It could be storytelling about a "lighter" subject, a demonstration of the power of fate, a "blessing" or reassurance of the prosperity of the happy couple, etc.
Bizarre doesn't have to be robes, chanting, and skulls. There is a lot that I think that I would do with scripting of more standard effects to play to the room at a wedding. That being said, I would also review Doc Dixon's essay "Can You Do It For Drunk People?" as a part of my preparation for a wedding reception as well. Chris |

Bizarre presentations about lovers reunited or love persisting after death would be quite appropriate themes

Didn't we have this discussion in the Gospel Forum? The scenario is even a part of a Jesus Does Closeup episode on the Yellow Board. The bottom line is if you **** off the bride, your reward is worse than the 7th Circle of Hell.
