Thank you Silvio, that was the kind of no nonsense, straight to the point review I was hoping for.

I got this today and I think the gimmick looks a little wonky, anyone else?
In the video demo it's shown to be used to melt a coin through the plastic wrapper of a deck of cards, seems to me to not look anything like that at all. Sure you can hand it out, but it even feels a bit suspect imho. Anyone else have it and share this opinion - don't get me wrong I think it can be used really creatively but was a bit disappointed by the big discrepancy in the video demo and the product received. Not that I should be surprised really by now! T |

Yes, I am with you on that totally. I have to say though, that I have not had a spec say anything...

Hi lithyem,
Thanks for the feedback. Regarding your concern I can tell you that after thousands of performances I never had spectators say anything about it. Regarding the second video (coin through the plastic wrapper ) that video was made after we received some great ideas from customers and reviewers. The product was already out when we recorded this video, thus we could not include those ideas on the manuscript. And to be honest we could not include them all, because after the effect was released we received dozens of ideas and possible uses. This is the beauty of the effect - it opens the doors to endless possibilities. Each owner of Guru will come up with his own uses for the effect. Remember: it's not limited to what you see on the trailers. The original trailer is how I like to present it, but please feel free to explore your creativity. If you need any help with the effect, or want to share some ideas, just drop me a line.

I think it would be awesome to put together a book of some of the incredible ideas and routines with the GURU principle.
Didn't you mention and couple of different coin bend routine's? Or maybe that's a secret. : ) Seriously though I think Jay knows better than anyone that the bags are not suspect. He's lived with the effect for longer than anyone. All the best, Kranzo

I have used it about 5 times- am going easy until I get my refills. I use the suggested story line, and a few ideas of my own. It absolutely amazes specs!

Great to finally start getting some feedback! This is one of those strong effects that will fly under the radar because not everyone in the world is running around doing it.

My only wish, is that the "gimmick" will soon be made with the zip- lock top that people expect to see...
p.s. - and don't forget the date and contents square!!!

LOL!
Yeah the date and contents could be fun for presentations. You could write MELT and then the time that it will melt etc. I think the Ziplock bag is the logical next step. I know myself and JAY spoke about it quite a bit as well as several other THINGS that could be used. I've been having a lot of fun SEARING my fingerprints into the plastic bag for people. If this ever comes out with a normal looking zip-lock bag I'm definitely sold.
It doesn't necessarily have to be a zip-lock bag with the zip tab on it (probably would cost way too much) but at least a bag that is more easily recognizable by a spec. ~gaffed~
