It's times like these when I am THRILLED to be a member of the BBM family... Well, I'm always thrilled but this routine RAWKS, as Owen would say.
Stephen's routine is phenomenal! I remember when I first read a description of it and thought, "no way this is examinable". It's really diabolical. But don't take my word for it. Some of the top names in magic have praised this packet trick as being one of the best of its kind.

Nico, I had to click the 'Play' arrow a couple of times, then the video started to play.
I have been performing 'Omega' for a few years now and can tell you that it is an awesome effect. My favourite version is ESP Omega. You wouldn't regret getting this. Paul Mc.

This has been available for quite some time. Looks a little on the expensive side for this routine?

Lots of alternate handlings. And there are bonus effects on the dvd as well. Very good ones at that! Keep in mind, I haven't seen the dvd yet but I know the routines. Matrix Reloaded is awesome. So you are definitely getting your money's worth.

That is REALLY cool! Its an odd idea for that type of plot. I gotta get one.

Hey folks,
glad that people are enjoying OMEGA - it really is a clever routine. Rpascual - the DVD features Omega, plus five different routines using the same principle in very different ways. plus it features two other Tucker routines that originally sold for a combined price of £37. plus it also features three effects (with explanations) from other BBM titles. plus it also features Sleight School - in depth teaching on 18 essential card sleights. oh, and it comes with 9 USPCC cards too. so it's worth the extra few quid, promise!!! hehe! as jerry sadowitz said - 'Superb! Omega is the most baffling and incredible packet trick I've seen in years. Magicians will enjoy performing it as much as their audiences will love watching it!' (NB if anyone is having problems with the trailer, please email me at info@bigblindmedia.com and I'll arrange an alternative viewing point). |

I bought Omega of Stephen Tucker years ago. I'll be interested to see if the method is the same or whether he's improved the handling.

Hi, yes I think I spoke out of line with my comment above. I had not read the entire description. Thanks for clarifying this. It actually sounds like a bargain! lol.

After watching the video, I think this is too complicated for an audience to digest, I would prefer Twisted Sister done with just 4 cards...

I think it would be fine. What is so confusing about it? You are blatantly stating what has happened. Look, out of the three blue backed cards, your freely named ace has a red back. etc.
I love tricks with multiple kickers and for it to be all examinable at the end is really really nice. |

Let me ask you a question: Could you follow it? I'm not talking methodology, I'm talking plot. I'm sure you could. Therefore, a spectator could follow it.
Lay people aren't stupid when it comes to following stuff. In fact, a lot of lay people I know love stuff with multiple kickers. They find it exciting. I know this goes against the grain of a lot of magical theory out there but unless you try stuff, you never really if it's too complicated or not.

Hi Everyone, this is my first post.
I was really exited about this trick and was so close to getting my credit card out when I read this very brief review: [Quote]"Got the DVD today and have only looked at the Omega effect. It does what it says BUT - naughty Stephen - there's a bit on the fliming of the effect itself where he is definitely not doing it as per the explanation. They have edited it. I have played it in slo-mo and am absolutely sure on this It's a shame as that one little moment is the one that does in fact make the effect a little doubtful to the spectator, should you not have the luxury of video-editing in front of their eyes!! Can't say anymore obviously but will just have to try it out on some people and report back. Mixed feelings then. Yes - great effect and easy to do but not as seamlessly as he would make us believe, so in that sense I'm disappointed.[quote] I was wondering if anyone could please elaborate on the above as I hate it when video editing is used to sell a product! Thanks |

I promise this effect is a real world worker.
I have done this routine for "besserwissers" & and other annoying people and its still works out well. I bought the manuscript many years ago and its great. The spectator will see what you see in the video trailer, sure. |

There is no editing. I just watched the demo again I have no idea what he's talking about. The effect is exactly the same as you see on the video. If he's talking about what I think he's talking about, it's not editing, Stephen is just very good at it!
What people have to keep in mind is that this is not a "new" effect. Stephen has been doing this for years. It's one of his best selling effects and he has slayed countless magicians with it at conventions over the years (I've talked to a few who were very fooled by it!). It's new to dvd but this is a proven, real world winner.
