Dear Magic Café:
Is there any way I can be alerted by e-mail when someone responds to a posting of mine? I seem to recall that you used to be able to do that; I don't see it in the 'Edit Preferences' section. Bato William

Bato, this has been asked and answered many times but here's the answer one more time. If you start a topic, before you submit you'll see a box under the posting window that says " Notify me by email when replies are posted" click that box and submit. Every time someone posts to that topic, you'll get an email alert.
You must be the originator of the topic to use this feature.

That's because AOL will not receive any emails from TheMagicCafe. It is why we no longer allow new registratons with AOL.

Does the Café ever send out important emails that I'm not getting?
Maybe it's time to give the Café a new email address. Who do I talk to to change it? |

PM me with your new email address and I'll change it for you, stoneunhinged.
Dave and Dynamike, just an FYI: AOL does receive emails from the Café. The problem is, people from the Café who have requested these email notifications keep marking them as spam. Because of this, now AOL automatically puts emails from the Café into your spam folder. |

Mary, maybe I misunderstood but this is what Gene said about AOL.
