Dave , you said "As for other collaborations, Dan and I just finished a 12 hour shoot with the legendary master of card magic, Bill Goodwin. Again, can't say what the project(s) is, but I can say that EVERYONE is in for a real treat. "

12h! and "only" 2.5h on the dvd? may be a second vol in the futur??

Magicians' magic... umm, I can give you a link that 100% match your criteria, extremely sleight of hand driven, almost 0% patter just description of effect in the patter line, 90% performer just look at his own deck and hands seems like jexking off in front of camera + zero sense of humour yet he thought he was the best comedy magician in the world (that's funny actually.)

...

However, definitely not in the Great Mr Bill Goodwin in this case.

Can you reveal the link,so we can all "appreciate" this treasure for ourselves?

Magicians magic?

This is one of the first trailers for a card magic dvd that I have seen in a very long time that I thought for myself "Hmm this is actually something you really could performe for laymen!"

Looks like a dvd packed with practical workers material.

Off Balance Transposition and Hold The Mayo are worth the DVD, I'm my opinion. I've shown both effects to magicians as well as laymen many times and they kill for both.

I won't do that with explanation via PM to you. Please accept my reason.

For all educated gentlemen here, just check youtube, you'll find it everywhere.

Now, can we just sit back and wait this excellent DVD to arrive and discuss effect inside instead?

So whats your thoughts on this dvd?

I think the material was great, but for some reason I felt that the effects was a bit boring, don't know why really. Maybe just not my style.

I just watched it. I thought it was great! I've known Bill for a long time so everything I'm about write is biased, but it's also true.

The Paint Brush Change looked like the face of the card suddenly changed while it was in plain view. In my opinion, Bill's magic has a distinctive look partly because of the brilliant way he applies this technique. He gave an enlightening history of the move too. I love how many times it's been reinvented and the subtle handling differences.

My favorite tricks on the video are:

Twisting the Kings
Hold the Mayo
Spectator Cuts the Aces
Oxnard Split

The handlings were clean and economical too. Bill's descriptions included timing, reasons, and cover for every move. Of course the best part was seeing Bill perform. He has the touch when it comes to handling cards.

I especially liked Twisting the Kings. Each count looked consistent. There were no shifting or adjusting the cards between counts. There was a surprise, visual ending. It's impromptu. What a great trick.

The Spectator Cuts the Aces is hands down my favorite method for that effect.

By the way, Bill's touch on the bluff pass is a gem.
