I have been agonizing over a good ending to a Psychometry routine. It seems that by process of elimination, the VERY end seems rather obvious. "And this would belong to you..." Not an exciting ending to an otherwise fantastic routine. Could anyone point me in the direction of a good ending? One that I might be able to re-work into something amazing? Again, it's just a matter of being at the very top and the last hill is a slow and disappointing finale...

Be happy to offer a suggestion, but it should be 'below' in Inner Thoughts.

From your general and brief description I take you are speaking of the classic with envelopes (or other containers) and personal objects rather than with Tarots (as in my own Psychometrack) or with writings or designs (as in Max Maven's Graffiti, Desire OR as in Larry Becker's Sneak Thief) ....

If this is so - I have 3 good tips for you:

1) After some due concentration give away the two last items to both last participants simultaneously (you can fake of being wrong if you want, and after a few seconds take back the items and give them again back correctly... have participants open and confirm.)

2) Have one of the two last participants to try and get what they feel is their OWN item... while you give the not chosen item to the other participant. If he is right -good. If he fails ... Then you can comment how difficult this is even when down to 50/50 and you arrange things so the items are now with their correct owners. Have them open the envelopes and confirm. (You may want to use Equivoque to be sure your participant is always right OR always wrong! - Please IF you do that - make sure you know how to properly make your equivocation invisible.)

3) Use either your intuit or your learned skills to give some brief reading to each participant. By doing that, the last person will still want to hear what you say ABOUT THEM.

Btw, I strongly suggest the 3rd option since it seems the one most rare. Magicians forget that "psychometry" should be focused on telling personal info or character traits of the owner of the object "coming" from the object itself. Otherwise there is not "psychometry" at all, but the name of the effect.

Also, you can easily adapt option 1 or 2 and still give a short reading to each participant (option 3).

Next time post your query in INNER THOUGHTS! Smile

Also, you may want to use my own H.O.T. subterfuge for the option 2...

Which you can find, here -

I like psychometry effects that are presented one-on-one, face to face.

I suppose in my excitement of realizing that I now had access to the Inner Thoughts section, that yes, I forgot to thank Mr.Cavalli. My sincerest apologies and an equally sincere (very big) THANK YOU to Mr. Cavalli...

Is this on DVD only?

I ask because I bought the Videomind series back when they were only on tape and I never found "Psychometier".

Yeah, I think it's on "Nothing"
it ends with the two gentlemen and Mr. Maven gives a reading for them both.
