Hey some one told me of a routine like a cups and balls with shot glasses and razors.
Any one know of who put this out? Thanks, SIX |

It's called Razor Shots. You can search for it on the Hocus Pocus site.

Thanks greg, but is this routine a cups and balls / three shell type of game? Looks like a razor swallowing routine.

I would also like to know about it because I cannot imagine a routine that uses clear shot glasses and flat razors.
Maybe the guy got confused when he saw the picture of Razor Shots and didn't really read the ad? |

Actually this is an awesome trick. The switch is incredible. I never would have thought of where and how to put this switch in place. Very clever. The switch is done exactly where it makes the most sense to the performer. AND the audience. The comedy is even better. Beautiful. I am a Dean Martin impersonator and thought this would be a funny effect for my show. It somehow doesn't quite fit because the shots are "downed" as quick as they are poured. Most people would be a little more tipsy to sing well. Even Dean didn't drink that much. But, done under the right circumstances, like towards the end of the show, or as a interlude to an even more "drunk effect" (think Simon Lovell or the DVD "Geek Magic"; Which is a great DVD I might add) This is perfect!
I am selling my RAZOR SHOTS if anybody wants it. It could possibly be done without purchasing the effect on a retail level. I just think that finding the right shot glasses and making the special something is only practical on a high volume level. Without giving anything away.... you would need to purshase a "more than you need" quantity of something at over 50.00 a pop to do it. You would have a large quantity sitting in you shelf. Then you need to find the right shot glasses. E-bay? China? Not practical for most of us. That's what makes this a great value for someone who want's to perform this trick out of the box. I really, really like this effect. If I didn't make the majority of my imcome as an impersonator and advertised myself as a magician, I would get Miles & Miles out of this effect. I will be happy to try and reply to any questions without giving the effect away. it really is THAT GOOD. To buy my RAZOR SHOTS.... http://www.dbmagic.net To ask questions... http://www.dbmagic.net |
