Thanks for the info! Is the phone # for the same company that sells bicycle gaffs?

Don't know. All I do know is that, they are based in Eureka, CA.

Wow! Eureka, is that really the name of a town?

Yup! Smile

(And, you wouldn't believe the name of a town? (or city?) that Pennsylvania has!)

The California Card Company must be the inventor of the Eureka Deck. (But... what kind of deck is that?)

Hi Zebaztian:

(Don't know the manufacturer, or who invented it.)

It is a combination deck. (M****d/St*****r)

M***d and st***r, that's a bit overdone. Are there routines where you use both the gaffs? Plus the m***ing plus the st***r in one trick / one routine?

Only did that because of the non-members that browse here.
Wasn't trying to be a wiseguy.

(I don't have this deck, Zebaztian)

There's also Yreka, CA; pronounced Y-reka like it looks. It's not far from Eureka, CA. Then there's the fictional town Eureka, OR from the Syfy channel's series Eureka...

Wrong, that number is for a company in Elk Grove sacramento, just south of Sacramento. It is a sports card dealer-not a magic dealer.

So does anyone know who California Card Co. is? They are on the label of many of my force decks, double backers, double facers, etc. Says Paramount, Ca. But no other contact info.

Does anyone know how they fit in with USPCC? Do they buy gaff cards and then assemble the decks to be sold to retailers? I understand that USPCC doesn't make gaffs anymore (so I've heard), but just wondering how it worked before.

Thanks

I have a vague recollection that Magic City used to put their fakes, which were printed by USPCC, into boxes printed California Card Co.

It looks like the California Card Co doesn't really exist. It's like I an Umberto Eco novel (Foucault's pendulum). But to follow Eco's theory, now some guys are setting up a company called California Card Co. Eco's theory is that everything that's written down will happen.

When searching for The C.C. Co., I saw that it was located in Eureka. (It now has
'disappeared')
As Mr. Iacono threaded, the search shows Elk Grove Village.
Found The C.C. Co. listed under Mr. Aaron Smith's company name: The Magic Depot.
(Tried to show the direct link, here, to that page. For some reason, it doesn't
connect)
If you Google The California Card Company, click on The Magic Depot.

I'm confused. (Which is nothing new!)
