So I'm putting together a drinking and smoking themed set. I start out with a bottle production then go into some coin and bottle cap through bottle routines. Then I want to transition into cigarette magic. and I want the cigarette to be lit the whole time. (This isn't a problem in Korea since there are no smoking bans here)

Can anyone suggest some effects I can do using a lit cigarette? I'll probably start with something like a Phoenix fire to light it then I'll vanish it into my hand at the end, but what should I do in the middle?

Thanks for any ideas.

Before you light it you can do a torn and restored effect, then light it and vanish it the way you want.

You may want to look into Keith Clark's 'Encyclopedia of Cigarette Tricks'.
Lot's in there.

I agree with Jaz....there are lots of good information and routines in Clark's book. There are also some routines in Tarbell, I believe, but Im unsure of which volume.
I am looking to buy Pressley Guitar items in good condition. Send me a PM for details.

How about Steve Fearson's Floating Cigarette. Still a clasic.

I think that's exactly what I will do, Ron. I'm trying to figure how I can do it without having the i.t. attached at first, though. I want to light the cigarette as one of the first things I do and periodically drag on it during the bottle routine (ties things together better so that the transition between bits is seamless... and gives me a reason to be moving my hands when it would otherwise look suspicious)

I have a couple ideas how this might work but have to try them out. If anyone else has any ideas, feel free to share. Or if you know of any other good cigarette magic, pkease do as well. I'm always looking for good cigarette magic.

You mean Fearson's rendition of the older classic.

Smoking is a nasty habbit and most people today avoid it. I would avoid effects with cigarette at all cost. Just my opinion.

I agree although the book in my opinion is misnamed and Encyclopedia of Cigarette Sleights would better describe the book.
I must say that I enjoy reading the very well written book and was impressed to learn that english was not Mr. Clarkes native tounge.
