My local club (all 3 of us) have shirts that are black and in silver have the "Black Hills Magic" logo on the front. On the back they say "It's magic!". Why? Because everyone says "how'd you do that?" and I just turn and point to my back. It's fun if we are all working together.

Keith that is a great idea and certainly gets the name out and allows people to know you are a magician when you're out and about. Did you have these shirts silk screened?

The President of our club hangs out at the Café site as "Bobcape". I think he took care of setting them all up. I believe they are just silk screened. They look pretty good in my opinion and usually generate some interest for the club.

As for marketing shirts, my own rule would be (for me anyway) Don't wear a T-Shirt with your name on it day to day. I think it would just look a little sad.

The birthday child always gets a shirt with my logo for helping out during the show and as my gift to them.

I use Dan Harlan's T-Shirt bag folding method and then at the end of the show, open it up for the surprised volunteer.

Where might I find out more about Dan's "T-Shirt bag folding method"? Does the bag serve a purpose (i.e. change bag?)

I like the fact that you give out a t-shirt as a gift at your shows. That is a great way to advertise your show as long as your logo and or name is on the shirt. Another great marketing idea.

Yes, I see them all the time. For my school assemblies, I give out one to each volunteer. They cost me so little, and I can expect to see the kids wearing them for quite some time. I use several different styles to encourage them to wear the shirts more. That way the kids don't have to worry about showing up some day with the same shirt as another student.

That is an excellent idea and a wonderful marketing tool for you. Consider every kid with your shirt, as a walking billboard.

My company has just become a HUGE distributer and designer of Advertising Specialty gear. This stems from keychains to waterbottles to shirts. There are over 600,000 items we can currently get. These are then used to place a logo on for promotional needs.

Now that we are teamed up to handle this, I have the ability to get shirts made and other items for fractions of the cost. I will certainly be investing some time into this.

I've just incorporated my website address as part of my logo which is small and somewhere on the shirt.

I don't want to make the wearer feel like a billboard. I hate when I see shirts like that.

I think Christopher has the right idea. A simple website address or a small telephone number will do the trick nicely without going overboard on it.

I made a joke out of the "billboard syndrome." But again, it was just an experiment with Cafépress...
