If any of you haven't seen this illusion performed, you should check it out. Pretty amazing stuff.

Is this illusion exclusively done only by Mr. Moretti or is there a manuscript one can buy, or someone I could pay royalties to in order to perform this illusion? Thanks for any help.

Scott,

As amazing as it is I believe Mr. Moretti is the only person doing that and there are no plans for it!

Rick and Becci do a mediocre version without the table/elevated platform and way too much space between the sticks (at least in their attempt).

Hans confided that the hardest thing about the "Cardboard Box" is the fact that the birds have constant gas.

Just had a check on the web. Nothing is marked yet on wikipedia. His website is open and he sells his biography with a dedication if wanted.
So, if didn't passed away recently, he's still alive. (LOL)

In my knowledge he is 81 and still alive. His last performance year was 2005. Here is some picture with the Moretti family and Hans Klok.

By the way Robert you are wrong. His son Peter presented the cardbox illusion either.

Yunke does the cardboard box with his wooden sticks. He put himself the sticks.
But he does it so fast that it is incredible. And the box is very very little.

What made the Moretti version unique is that the blades where inserted by people FROM THE AUDIENCE. As I know he never explain exactly his method. There is some rip-offs, one of them do even the ending with the clown...

Magicians should make their comments under the video. They might pull off their video from youtube.

Hans is very much alive. His wife, Helgi, has passed.

I had the priviledge of putting the swords in the box when he appeared at Abbott's. I even have a video of it. And I have absolutely no clue.

I must be thinking of the tree suspension... Now that I think about it, I'm sure he performed it on the Steven's video, but never explained it.

To this day that is still among my top five favorite illusions of all time. It is just so wonderful in its simplicity. So powerful.

I think it's Hans and Helgi that made that illusion so great. Their unique style of "unsophisticated glamour" suited their act perfectly. You can’t take your eyes off of them, it’s like watching your grandparents on the Gong Show! What the heck are they going to do? And then they proceed to amaze! They’re so great Smile I think their magic is even stronger because you don’t expect it to be.
