Honestly, I simply can't narrow it down to 5...........too many outstanding magicians I have known who have tremendously influenced me, many of whom....(Vernon, Slydini, Johnny Thompson, Neil Foster, Norm Nielsen and Blackstone) have allready been mentioned herein....
But...please let me add two names to the mix that haven't been mentioned: Matt Schulien and Bro. John Hamman... If any of you have ever had the distinct pleasure of seeing either of these gentlemen perform for laymen.....you will know exactly what I mean..... In my humble opinion, our art has been blessed with way too many oustanding performers to narrow the list down to just 5. |

It is hard. I pretty much posted the first 5 favorites that came to mind above, but I am hard pressed to leave out Houdini, Eugene Berger, Ricky Jay, The Amazing Randi, David Roth, The Professor, Tommy Wonder... There are just so many that I hate to overlook as masters who have entertained and inspired me.
