In watching the wonderful Tony Chris dvd it was made clear that the setting is important in conveying and addding credibility to the CHARACTER yuou are trying to portray...the Candle Sticks, Massive OLD Books, Metal Goblets and woodwen boxes etc.
Maybe even a backdrop...hell, let them focus on you in your SET just like a movie...anyway... in keeping with this I was poking around my site (massive) and tripped over a portion of the site I had abandoned for sake of making the whole site less ponderous...but it struck me tghat in the old movies, of Wizard labs and Alchemist work tbles there we always items of great mystery...a stuffed alligator dangling from the ceiling and somewhere on set there was a weird skull or two. So for those of you completests and drama majors...I have brought back the Legit page. http://GrindShow.com Fabulous recreations of Paleo skulls and stuff...the Giant Rat Skull...the Ancient Terror Birds, Neanderthal etc. I offer these at greatly reduced prices from the prices I must put on the page (agreement with the museum lab)...so if you see something there that might fit as a prop for your 'set', let me know. I have a few of these pieces in my workshop and they are WORLD CLASS PERFECT Museum quality made by the best Lab in the USA. GURANTEED. Just go to the sight and click on Jungle Skull (near bottom of the directory page.) Of course this stuff is for the Bizarrist that has ALMOST everything. It's a FUN page too just to look at and read. And yes...there is a complete WHALE available. (Way expensive though...but just imagine your next DVD with THAT in the background! haha)

Awesome stuff Doug.If I wasn't caught up in shopping around for a vehicle,I might consider that T-Rex Foot.Very cool!
I have the Smilodon Fatalis on display in my cave. The real thing would probably be in the $25K+ range. Rich |

I have a Smilodon...just the coolest thing on the planet. The one I have available is a La Brea Tar Pits Licenced piece and the Lab I use is owned and run by the Paleontologist that was on the ORIGINAL team that dug the sucker up so long ago. Can't get more authentic, this is from the actual Skull. I also have the Giant Rat and the Phorohocas Terror Bird skulls. Love this stuff!
I always wanted that Whale and do a World's Smallest Sperm Whale show...Banners with the big Whaling Ship...Capt Ahab. harpoon in hand looking in shock and the tiny MOBY DINK leaping over his head. Probably wouldn't make a dime but would be fun to do!

With all Magic, but perhaps more urgently in Bizarre Magick,
the more you can offer an audience to ease their suspension of disbelief the better. I don’t think enough performers think of, then go for, the Complete Package…. props, sets, costumes, sound, lights, style of tables, even scents in the air. The more swept-up by the mood and reality of the whole picture, the easier it is for the entertainer to paint on an emotional canvas. The Devil is in the Details, and the splendor and enchantment as well. Great stuff Doug! My two-cents, Walt |
