Palace Station has just cut room rates for Nov 8-11.
If you are already booked, you may be able to save some fairly significant $$$, and/or upgrade to their better rooms at the same price, by re-booking (even through a 3rd party site) If you call Palace Station directly, use code PZZ194, or if you book on-line, the lower rates should simply show, without the need for the code. Keep in mind that all room rates EXCLUDE the $14.99/ day "Resort Fee." Hope this saves a few people some bucks - I just saved close to $100 on my 5-night reservation! e |

They say this is only a promotion for those on their mailing list, with a players card in their casino...thanks though.

Ok, so through expidia I saved about $40, but that's after I upgraded to the tower (rather than the courtyard) ... and there is an additional $100 off through expedia if you open a credit card account with them (which I don't think I'm eligible for becasue its through citibank, and I have a citibank card now...waiting for a response)
thanks Eric!! |

You're welcome!
Yeah, you definitely want to be in the Tower rooms, given the choice! e |

I too stumbled upon the lower room rate through Expedia. I called the hotel and they said they could not match it. They said I had to book it through Expedia and then cancel my previous reservation. I did all of that....I hope I have a room when I check in.

Tgplano,
I asked the same thing, the hotel said they couldn't offer anything extra, or reduce the price at all...they were surprisingly happy to cancel my reservation and have me rebook through expedia. I was just as happy |

Yes, it's not that easy from Germany; I've booked a room there online some time ago, got a confirmation number (automatically), but my attempt to contact them several times by email was without any success, even giving my confirmation number. They even don't answer. To be polite I would say that their attitudes are far below European standards. Jan

Who has time for this? You save something like 10 dollars.

For what it's worth, a few suggestions:
First, never cancel your current reservation, until/unless you have a new reservation confirmed!. Second, make sure your reservation can be canceled without penalty (this is usually the case within 7 days - even 24 hours for most hotels, but may differ with 3rd party travel companies, particularly those who take full payment in advance). Finally, you can cancel a reservation made directly with the hotel, through their web site. https://rooms.stationcasinos.com/cgi-bin......in04+PAL Hope that helps! PS - Blake, your question about the Tower VS courtyard rooms, is, of course, subjective, but my opinion (and that of a few others who have experiences both), is that if you can upgrade (particularly by re-booking at a lower rate), it's well worth it. e |

Time for what? I haven't. I didn't contact them to ask for any discount. But I'm coming from overseas... So my opinion stays and traveling a lot I can compare... Jan

Jan, That´s what I meant. I´m coming from Finland and I really don´t have time to cancel, call, make a new reservation etc...

For what its worth (keeping in mind I live in the U.S.) it took about 10 minutes to cancel my reservation, and rebook through expedia...i would have saved $80 for the same room, but upgraded to the luxury room, and still saved $40 ... that seems worth it to me.
you can cancel your reservation online on the palace station website, as long as you have your confirmation number...so, no need to make a phone call. |

Ditto here. Saving twenty bucks and getting a significant room upgrade was worth ten minutes of my time. Thanks for the tip, Eric.
Every problem contains the seeds of its own solution. Unfortunately every problem also contains the seeds of an infinite number of non-solutions, so that first part really isn't super helpful.
