I didn't know where to put this.

I am trying to put together a Fred Kaps Tribute routine, doing his FISM routine and I have a couple of questions, also I am also trying to lean as much as I can about Fred Kaps.

So if anyone who knows a lot about Fred Kaps or can tell me who knows a lot about him PM me.

Thank you to all

I have the Homing Card routine scripted out. If you need it, let me know. Also, check out my article about him I wrote for Wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fred_Kaps

Mtpascoe I have read your article and it is saved on my computer. I would like the scripted version of the Homing card, as that would be my opening effect, it you could PM it that would be great.

And any inside of the smoking thumb would be great, I want to get Puck's no smoking but it is a little out of my price range right now. That would be awesome Bill.

I really want to get this little act going and maybe turn it into a evening show sometime in the future.

Thanks a lot for all of your help

Don't forget that Kaps started the close-up levitation craze with his Floating Cork.

Not so. Bruno Hennig started the close-up levitation craze with the floating and dancing cork. Fred learned it and had it published via Ken Brooke, but Bruno Hennig was the guy who invented it. It was in print in German long before it was available in English. BTW, Bruno is still alive. He is in his eighties. He is better known as Joro.

Most people are unaware of Joro's connection to the cork trick. Braco discussed this at length in Schweberoutinen für Tisch und Bühne which was a bilingual book published by the Magic Circle of Berlin in the early 1970's. Kaps' handling of this was excellent, though.

The Floating Cork would be in the evening show, right now I'm working on his FISM routine.

William check out the Marc Desouza dvd set from L&L publishing. Marc has his work on the Kaps coin routine and diminishing bills, on one of the dvd's.

The floating cork is primarily a close-up effect.
