...and just fiction, tale-telling or magic.
After reading Kotah's brilliant piece for "Red Eye", and I was instantly transported to an unsettling little song from the (virtual) band "Gorillaz". Those not familiar may find a few moments of not wholly unpleasent distraction via the link below. Dr. Steve, stories are told in dance too, music creates the special effects.
Magicians could combine both elements to present a spoken piece. i.e D ance Macabre themed, Voudoun themed. Floating skulls, Shaman staffs etc. Just chiming in with additional thouchts concerning stories told in many forms. Shadow puppet theater is yet another. asahadowography taken to another twisted level. In that art form as well, music is incorporated. Food for thought, anyone hungry? Kotah |

I have watched this clip several times since you first shared it Steve.
All of the elements are there, the music, mention of dance, shadows and the importance of the eyes all melded into an important lesson. Very magical indeed. I find myself wondering about smole and shadography. Could smole rising be caused to shape shift into ghostly forms on a shadow screen? Iam playing with possible methods in my mind Thank you for seeing and sharing the connection. How red the sleep deprived, tear soaked eyes of the happy folk!? Kotah |

Hmm
smoke rising, a semi darkened room and several participants who all see things. All the same things? Or different things, which are then found to drawn cave-painting style on a hide. Like a rabbit, an elk, a hunter. All done as drums beat in the background and our primal memories are accessed. I have no idea how to acheive this! Maybe suggestion +\- a trance induction?

Akin to the things we imagin being created by the shifting clouds above
Morphing, transforming to something else/ vanishing all together. Lovely and poetic magic drifting overhead. Kotah |
