Years ago, I saw an add in the Johnson Smith novelty catalog for a book that passively interested me. Now that I want it, I can't find a reference to it. Can you help?
As I recall, it was a book on learning to make up very technical sounding gibberish on the spot. This interests me for comedic reasons. Any great memories out there that remember this item? Thanks, Guy |

It sort of sounds like a book by Jim Boren, When in Doubt, Mumble. I seem to recall there were tables in it (among other things) where you would pick a category, then a 3 digit number, and get a buzzphrase that sounded good but meant basically nothing. Here is a link to a page that has a bio and a list of his books. If this isn't it and you find any more, please let us (me) know because I'm interested too. Or should I say, "I have an individualized motivational relationship with my unique enrichment rate requiring moderated multiphasic coordination of my authorized systematic options..."

It might be the one, Reg - my recollection is a bit fuzzy. I'll be sure to grab a copy.
Thanks a bunch, Guy |

A couple of books I have on the art of speaking gibberish (without entering politics, or writing trick descriptions for magic dealers) are: 'X- Jargon' by Wallace Lee (no publishing info), and 'How you can Double Talk' by Rick Saphire (self-published 1993). They're slim volumes, you might find them with 2nd hand magic book dealers.
They both work on using phony, but real sounding words integrated into normal speech. Cheers, Bill
