I'm just curious to know who some of the magicians performing as old west cowboys are.

Does anyone have any names (and maybe websites)?

Well you might not call Whit Hayden's dress "Old West Cowboy" but more of an "Old West Snake Oil Salesman". There is a guy in Austin who performed as "Ranger Bob". I'm sure there have been more than a few.

Whit Haydn is exactly the kind of show I was looking for.

Thank you.

I started MuleePete as a singer with the Bar G Wranglers in southern Utah. To add to the show I brought out some effects I did in the Navy, Cut & Restored Rope, Prof Nightmare, and bought SideKick to use with the fancy gun handeling/spinning routine. This past season I was performing at Ebenezers Barn & Grill Cowboy Supper & Live Western Show, doing the same pre-show magic routine to warm and welcome the guests. Since it went so well I am expanding the magic for walk around in the western town to sell the diner show. My dress is B-western style. Scully shirts, wrangler dress pants to match the shirt colors, Tony Lama tall boots, my own style of Serratelli hat, neckerchief with bone slide. I am making a set of mini saddle bags to work out of. In addition to the magic. I spin the six guns and crack whips to roundout the fun.

I just found this topic.

I'm a cowboy performer. I do magic and wild west shows (rope spinning, gun spinning, whip cracking, stunt shows).

As I recall, Richard Turner has a cowboy gambler theme as well.

Not a magician but the actor Gael Garcia Bernal in Jarmusch's "Limits of Control" has the coolest cowboy look ever going on:

I do Magic, bullwhips and gunspinning mixed in my act. Is that what you are looking for? I am billed as Deadshot Dusty.

There are a lot of themed "cowboy" shows. Problem is anyone who buys a hat and a vest thinks they are a "cowboy."

I only know of a few who stay true to history. Some are mentioned above.
Personally I like Whit Haydn's show. Payne has always peaked my interest.
Turner just plain rocks!

I do both the Hollywood and the Historic shows.
