I saw a demo of this trick, and it looked good. Can someone post a review?

Its a great effect but it comes pre-routined so you can't play with it much.
Also, the commen gimmick on mine was poorly done so it rubbed off within a month of irregular use |

Its a nice trick for the first couple of weeks, but then the gimmick does rub off. If you like 3 card monte, id save your money and go for Darlys dvd - daryl does the full monte. Its an awsome dvd, covers all the sleights you'll ever need to know, gives routines - including a dai veron routine, and tells you how to make other gaffed 3 card monte effects (including ulti monte but i think its called amaso on the dvd). Anyway that's just my opinion. Hope its of some use.

Actually, Amaso uses some roughing spray and is a separate trick. It is an amazing trick by the way if you haven't seen it. It's a favorite.

i would also recommend Daryl's DVD
the 'three card monkey business' or 'color monte' was one of my first tricks I've learnd. It alway gets good reaction Markus |

Daryls DVD would be better than the VHS tape I have
but the material is what coins. I LOVE that tape. Amaso and color monte are great. :spinningcoin:

hi, i beg to differ.... this trick is great.... but it has so many moves that you really have to remember where you are, cause it has a number of moves that require you to turn it end for end.
if you forget to turn it end for end, you might just reveal the secret... the instructions come with about 28 illustrated pictures... very clear... only complaint is that it uses R&S principles... and i happen to dislike R&S principles... hope that helps eric

ultimonte is a must have. its is very easy to do.
no skills needed. the trick is totally self-working. get it and u won't regret. |

Ultimonte is very very good. I use it a lot in my routines and it gets a lot of good reactions from laymen. The only problem with this trick is that the Cards don't last forever. You have to keep it up to date every once a while.

This one falls apart too easily, I'd stay away from it

I usu. do it in a restaurant or bar situation. There's angle consideration but you can cover it. According to Harold Cataquet, you need to do this trick with SAS - Speed, Angles, and squaring. Don't leave home without it! Have fun

If you have presentaion skills and the ability to make this a part of a larger routine, its excellence is enhanced. For me, it is part of a "history of monte" routine ending with "Gypsy Monte" and then they can examine all of the cards (but only with my handling or something similar). Best regards, Glenn Godsey |

It is a wonderful trick. But I think NFW takes the gaffed packet trick crown. IMHO.

I get about 30 routines in with my set, quick spray as per the instruction sheet and were good to go. Awesome little trick.

Just sprayed my Ulti Monte after about 40 performances with Testors' Dull Cote. Now they are good as new and ready to rock and roll! It's one of the best packet trick around for its stunning visual effect, IMO.
