Totally worth it. The man is a genius. His products and ideas were ripped off so much that he just stopped selling his stuff. He now only shares it with his close friends. Totally worth 10 bucks.
Note that many of the effects require you to build/construct gimmicks. If you are fine with that then I think you will enjoy the material. |

Sounds a little difficult on the DVD, as it was copied over from an old VHS (I believe) tape. But a great view nonetheless.

And I second the notion that Steve's a genius.

I have this. Steve was way ahead of his time. What a thinker!

There are several tricks that are easy to make in this DVD, Waltzing Matilda is a dancing silk, diminishing cards is a very bold and clever method, even easier than some on the market, there is a coin/card trick very clever, coin cordial is an easy transposition of coins with a glass. There are some other tricks that you need to buy it because they have a more elaborated process. I bought some of them directly from Steve, but even if you can not get these tricks what you learn from them will be useful for other situations.
The quality of the DVD is not great because the source is a VHS, however it has a menu and you can handle as a regular DVD. And for the price $10, you get a ton of good magic. |

I would just agree with what's been said. I've had the honor of talking to Steve on numerous occasions and he is a true gentleman. I would highly recommend this for the insight into his creative thinking as much as the effects themselves...

Mats, if you're wondering about the worth of this, either in time or in money, buy it. As has been said, the ideas on this are far ahead of their time and if you want to see how badly ripped off he's been, you'll recognize some of the stuff that is on here. I am so glad to have gotten this and even if it doesn't measure up to the studio - produced DVDs of today, it is easy to follow and the effects are great. I would give it a definite thumbs up.

I agree with the others.
I had this on video tape and went ahead and bought the DVD just because it was something I knew I would keep going back to. Such clever thinking from such a nice guy! Do yourself a favor and buy it...you'll be happy , I'm sure. BTW- as mentioned, it was originally a tape so the DVD is not up to todays standards of resolution or sound... but the content far surpasses 99% of todays releases. |

I know this is an old thread, but I am having trouble finding this since Steve's website is just a placeholder now. Not sure if his daughter or someone else intends to take up the torch after Steve's passing 2 months ago. It would be great if someone kept some of his unpublished routines and inventions alive too.
