I am a beginner who has had much success with this "rehearsal" approach, especially to "ease" into the induction practise on my part (which had been quite unnerving back then). Looking for guidance and any tips to make it even better...
I was inspired by Anthony Jacquin's "Rehearsal Induction" from Reality Is Plastic. If you wanna see it, here... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rfbOw_D4yRE However, I much prefer the Magnetised Hand To Face Induction, (the one where the hand moves by itself to the face) so... I have incorporated the "rehearsal" approach to it for "teaching" the volunteer on "how it is done"... I coach them by holding their hand first to show the eventual movement... Inevitably, even on this "rehearsal", they go into Hypnosis... On the "actual" induction after that, it is even easier as it is really just a re-induction... The Magnetised hand thing works like a charm... Looks cool even to spectators who are just watching as it looks like the volunteer is hypnotising him/herself with their own hand... (which they actually are really...) To all the experienced Hypnotists here, especially Ant, whaddaya think of this?

Great idea. Applying the Rehearsal principle to any induction will pay dividends.
As you have realised it provides 'process' for the audience to marvel at and the subject to focus on. Anthony
