Description of effect:
A card is selected from a deck. This card is remembered by the spectator. The performer removes another card from the deck and draws a picture of a card on the back of this card with a marker. Spectator is asked to name their selected card. This is not the card the magician drew on the back of. The magician has failed?!? The magician "flicks" this card with his finger, the drawing instantly changes to the spectators card! The gimmick is 100% mechanical. Each gimmick is made by hand. Imported from Europe. Supply is very limited! Complete with gimmick and instructions for additional handling.

The gimmick is very well made. And if you wanted to you could do it as a two person double reveal instead of "the magician made a mistake" angle but either way it is a fine prop. The first several people I've performed it for were shocked at the instant change of the card. You really do just flick your finger against the wrong selection and the change is instant and undetectable.

This is very clever in construction. I have a handful of mechanically gimmicked card effects (One Car Garage, Drawn Out, etc.) but nothing quite like this. It's definitely very visual and clean looking. As mentioned in the effect, you've got a drawing of a playing card and with a flick of your finger, that drawing turns into another playing card drawing. The spectator can burn your hands or the drawing and they'll see nothing, the change is that fast. Of course, it takes a bit of practice to get smooth but it's not very hard at all. The gimmick card is really well made and much of the "trickery" is covered up. If anyone is into these kinds of effects, this is one you should look closely at...it's very magical. And like serge storms said, this effect can be played as a double card revelation, or a magician in trouble type effect. I'm sure there are other drawing/artistic related presentations that could work too.
