While there's naturally plenty of discussion about iPhone/iPod Touch apps here, I see surprisingly few links to the iTunes store.
It's actually quite easy: 1) Go to the app in the iTunes store to which you wish to link (I'll use iForce as an example here, so I go to the iForce page on iTunes). 2) Move your cursor over the title of the app. An underline should appear when you hover over it. 3) When you right-click (Mac user, depending on their mouse settings, can either right-click or control-click) to bring up a contextual menu with one option: "Copy Link". Select that option. 4) At this point, the link is in your clipboard, and you can paste it anywhere. The link for iForce comes up looking like this: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/iforce-co......970?mt=8 As you can see above, if you simply paste it into the Magic Café, it will automatically become a link. You can also use the bbcode url approaches as discussed here to create a link like this: iForce As long as the user who is doing the clicking has iTunes, it will open up on their system (unless they already have it open, of course) and go directly to the correct page. |

Thanks Scott!
I am obviously happy to see any link to iForce on the App Store, but in the case of posting links to iForce would it possible to use this shorter version instead: http://cli.gs/iForceOnAppStore Of course you can still hide it behind a BBcode URL like so: iForce It routes it through a site that allows me to track where the hits are coming from which is very interesting to see. Not only that, if someone purchases iForce when they used this link, Apple gives me a whopping 15 cents! Making it possible to continue to develop even more wonderful magic apps like iForce in the future. Like I said though, I am extremely grateful for any link to iForce. Thanks again, -Randy Croucher |

You're welcome.
I've never heard of cligs before, but I like it! I think I've just used tinyurl.com and bit.ly for the last time. |
