Just a head's up for those who are interested in the cups outlined as the topic of this thread. There is a smallet set available now with a nicer saddle (deeper recess) which are more of a Monti / pf shape. They look quite nice.

Is this the Triple Combo set that Steven's is advertising for $350 then? The description on the site is quite exciting. I'll be interested to hear your thoughts.

Yes. These are the same cups.

Can't PM you Bill but there is a set on the big auction site (though IMHO they are over priced because they are a Funtime set.)

You're welcome Bill. The fellow selling them on the auction site said they feel heavier than the older (bigger) ones. I wonder if they are brass and not plated alloy? Either way, I think they are quite pretty!

I'll have to see if some of the other suppliers have them, as well. Usually Daytona magic has the same stuff.

I don't know what the price is on the auction site, but dealer price on these is $39. D. Robbins has a minimum order of $250 plus shipping charges, so the true seller investment would be a bit more than $39.

Thanks Dale, that's a pretty big mark up, he's asking $125 BIN. If anyone has an account and wants to get together and get an order of $250 with other members, I'm in.....

FWIW - The set on the auction site includes an exotic wood magic wand and two sets of working balls. (One leather monkey fist set and the other a standard red crochet set that comes with the cups.) Also includes \"The Greater Magic Library Teach in Series\" DVD on the cups and balls.

These are decent looking cups, although I would love to know their actual weight.

I don't know the value of the DVD set or the monkey fist balls, but the wand on the auction site looks like one of these $2 wands.

$2? Wow! The postage would be more expensive than the wand!

Yeah, definitely a very cheap wand by the photo.

Still think the price is a bit out of range even with the extras thrown in. Just wanted to mention all that was included.

I have a Robbins account.
If I put these in the store who's buying them?

I agree with you Dale!

Imagine if a new customer were to buy a set of those from Donnie and actually assumed that they were representative of RNT2 quality...

Magpie magic can sell these, but I don't think RnT II could.
