Hi everybody I am putting a jungle themed library show together. do you recommend any books/dvds/materials that I can draw ideas from?

Look at David Ginn's books and dvds on Kidz Shows. He has done a jungle themed school before and it is widely featured.
Have wand will travel! Performing children's magic in the UK for Winter 2014 and Spring 2015.

I did a Lion King themed show for several libraries this summer. The baboon character Rafiki has magical powers in the story. Watch the DVD you'll get a lot of ideas.

I think Ginn has a jungle-themed show on one of his Kidbiz DVDs. What about some good animal card decks, a snake basket, Stretching the Truth (stretching giraffe neck on pad), the Laflin Jungle Jinx 20th century silks or some other silk trick with peacock silk, etc. Also, there's Wolf's Laughing Hyena, how the Tiger Lost His Tale (something like that - rope trick by Jam Magic) . . . I think Albion Magic also has a "Jungle" trick where elephant sticks trunk in hat (rope) and pulls out chosen card.
