Hey Folks - this is the first vid I've posted. Just showing a quick copper/silver routine that I'm working on. Would love to hear some suggestions!

Not bad Mike, a lot of movement in the beginning as you show the coin but it settles down a bit and works pretty well. Add my Quick Pitch at the end and you can more openly show both your hands to be empty. But all in all I liked it, good job.

I'd say better than "not bad," Mike. I like coin magic on the finger tips like this and your over all pace throughout is excellent - allowing the changes to register nicely with the specs while showing some fluidity that makes it look easy. Also, this looks great with a silver dollar - no idea what you use for the copper...
Good going!

Thanks folks all appreciated.
cperkins - thanks for that, I do really try to keep the coins out at fingertips. The copper coin is really beautiful, it's a copper Austrian Kreutzer from 1807! I have a beautiful set of Belgian 5 Francs that has a copper/silver coin made with one, it's a beauty. The upside of that coin is it is very very thin, which lets me do some interesting grips and hold it very lightly. Thanks! Michael |

Very, very nice! I liked it.
I'm nowhere near as good as you are, but I have a few thoughts and suggestions for you (just as you asked). First, is I'd suggest Mb's Crimp Change. It's perfect for copper/silver routines. Even if you don't use the actual change itself, I'd suggest it because learning the way Mb's fingers move allow that off hand to look much more relaxed and empty. The video includes a lot more than just the change itself that help the hands look more natural and/or convincing. Also, as Mb said... the quick pitch. I really love this move. Even if you end up not wanting to use it, I still believe it to be a staple. Sorry, I'm not trying to just sit here and advertise or plug Mb, but as far as copper silver goes (which is my favorite thing to do right now)... I feel it to be very natural and very convincing. EDIT: Oh yeah, can I please have your coins? I'm jealous. Hahahaha. |

I just looked up the Austrian Kreutzer. Very cool looking coin, especially the back!
Michael, have you seen or do you have the Haitian Crown(s) that TL sells? Now that's a wicked cool looking dollar size coin! |

Thanks folks! Hey micky yep I have one of those Haitian crowns - very nice coin! It's very heavy and crisp and I tend to prefer the smoother coins myself. Beauty of a coin tho!
Thanks Loren - I've been usin the crimp / de manche change forever but I still find it difficult with dollar sized coins. With halves it's a staple tho for sure. Thanks for your comments folks - I will be posting more videos to the community very soon! Happy thanksgiving Michael |

Just let me slip in a "Ditto" before we all go off to Turkey. I like the relaxed look of your hands, and the fact that you've kept the look of the changes consistent. It looks like you made a deliberate choice to keep the overall illusion looking like the coin changes on its own, and you don't seem to do anything. Good choice, and nicely executed.
Given all that, the last thing you'd want to do in this routine is some change where you're waving the coin around. Looking forward to more.
