Hi all
Can anyone help please? I have seen a routine where you take pieces of trash and build a small tricycle from the junk that you have (a tin box, a couple of tin cans, a corkscrew, etc, etc)! You then take what appears to be a large piece of newspaper and form a puppet/doll that sits on the tricycle you have just built. You place it on the floor and the little puppet comes alive by starting to peddle and off it goes into the wing! This is as near a description as possible, does anyone know what the trick is called? Is it available or is it an exclusive item? I have seen 2 versions, one was using pieces of scrap as above and the other used blocks of wood, etc and was performed by Joe Pasquale a British comedian! I would be most grateful if anyone could point me in the right direction. Many thanks in advance. PS I can't seem to find any videos or links of the routines! |

The effect is at the end of the video above. They've since sold or gave their entire show to a predecessor Martin Brock http://www.martinbrock.eu/ |

Hi Ryan
Was this something put together by Nick Night or is it something that is available? As I have seen another performer do this but with wooden blocks, etc? Many thanks Sean |

This was something (from what I understand) that he created for his show. (then passed onto Martin Brock)
I'd contact him directly and ask about rights or royalties. (I don't think its available to the general magic community ) |

I think Nick and his company, Isle of Night, are developing a motion picture around "trash man". He has already created a short film that gained him quite a lot of acclaim, I recall watching him perform it back in the early 80's. It's a shame we lost Nick in the world of magic ... he was very creative, original and super nice guy.

I enjoyed watching Nick's clip, good creative show. Does anyone know why he left magic?

I remember Nicholas Night live, and of course... Kinga. They were a nice couple with chemical and their show pure magic. It's a shame they don't stay in magic world.

Did he sell his show. I thought someone bought his show from him. Great act and very creative.
