I own Bob Kohler U3F, and my sliding locking shell is no longer grab the coin, I try to bend it little, but no luck, any ideas guys?
or is this suppose to happen and change my handling from now on?

If you have the video that Bob gives you when you purchase the coins from him, it's explained there.
You need to bend the opposing corners of the rim. If you can't do it with your fingers, gently push each of the corners against a tabletop until you get the desired result. Be gentle, you don't have to bend them very much. |

I use a regular silver dollar to gently the tap the corners into place. Be gentle so that you don't crack the metal. Silver is soft and will bend easily, but repeated bended after time will cause a fatigue fracture that won't be easily repairable.

Kohler probably doesn't know how to repair them. Lassen used to repair all the sets when he made them for Bob..for the price of postage, but he had to stop doing that obviously when Bob changed manufacturers. He said guys were trying to send him substandard copies of his design to repair. That's some rich irony there.
