Hey guys,
I'm looking for a particular device which makes ghost noises and voices.

Now, I've heard about Dead Rap and Real Ghost.
Real ghost looks really as Dead Rap makes knocking and ringing noises, but I've never come across a device which makes ghost voices.

Like making the spectator turn the lights off and light a candle, do some knocking and ringing sounds, ask a few questions to the house, then proceed to make ghost voices.

Does anyone know of such a device as this?

Thanks,
Brooks

Dead Rap can make loud knocking sounds, over and over again. It is great for having ghosts knock once for YES and twice for NO. The knock is a real banging sound and not a recording.

When I use Real Ghost in a show I use it to do PK Touches or have it knock something off of a shelf or down the stairs. Real Ghost must be reset after each use, so I use it once per show and do something big with it.

For Ghost voices. . . how about a CD in a hidden player. . . Have 30 minutes of silence. . . a few seconds of ghost voices and then silence again. . .

That's a pretty good idea actually.
Anything like to make lights flicker and a tv to turn on by itself?

Thanks

Yes other than the remote is there a product which can do all this other stuff?
The witchboard is very expensive!!!
If not I'll go with Dead rap.

Is dead rap a sound which comes from around the room or from just one place do the spectator will immediately get up and walk to the place the noise came from.

Thanks

With a dead rap you can tell the sound came from "that wall" or "that book case" if your spectator are allowed to look for it they most likely will find it. . . . however I have never had any spectators brave enough to look for it. . . Smile most assume it was a spirit making knocking noises.

If you set it up right, they will believe it is the real thing.

Okay, there's this:

http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/electronic/755e/

to do the tv.

There are also remotes that work through the socket that you could use for the lights.

As for lighting a candle, there are several remote control led candles that are very realistic appearing.

All that for substanially less than $100.

That being said, Tim's stuff is fantastic.

I can never get those bloody things to work. I've tried three of them now, none seem to turn off my TV.

Brooks,

If you type "tv-b-gone reviews" into google, you'll be able to see what the feedback on the device is.

For those with a soldering iron, you can make/modify the TV-B-Gone by...

hiding it in a hat:

http://www.instructables.com/id/Tv-B-Gone-Hat/

doubling the range of the device:

and hacking it with a matrix of 20 IR LEDs the ULTRA to extend the working range to 90 feet:

Instructables also has hacks for hiding the device in a coffee cup and in a hoodie...

Back to the original question,

Just buy a Electronic FART BOX at Spencer gifts.
Put it in a 1 lb. (empty) Foldger's can and hide it in the corner of the room.
Use the remote to make 4 scary noises during you Seance / Bizarre program.

It really scares the crap out of the people - provided you have set the right mood,
and have left them sitting in the dark long enough.

That's a great idea, and if you can get a smell to accompany the sound...well...you have your marketing angle -Farting Spirits Smile

I've read that Dead Rap makes an electronic sound before making the rapping sound. How true is this?

Is there an alternative?

Interesting idea. Are Foldger's cans metal or plastic? I don't think the signal could get through if it were metal.

If you are in the UK, you may be familiar with the TV programme "Most Haunted". In this version it's the 'Psychic' not the spirits..... http://youtu.be/bT8Su44TXy8

Eviltron sounds fun.

But what of this reported electronic noise the Dead Rap makes before rapping. Is this an actual problem?

For sounds, check out: http://www.lebanoncircle.co.uk/spirit_tx.html
It's only a pdf, but it has LOTS of ideas on how to produce sounds at seances or even ghost walks.
Cheers
