Don't really care for the manipulation much, especially the bouncing balls of fluff. Dodgey walks.

Have a look at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Uc5WDb1oT8 for some great puppetry. Note Martin's excellent stringing through to the bottom of the leg for the accurate walk. And watch out for the puppet firing a long bow and the arrow hitting another puppet!

The "caterpillar" I think was a Bob Brown act from the DC area. I am not sure if it's original with him, but it is pretty typical of his thinking.

Thanks so much for the Martin Grainger act. Great stuff! Can you tell me when and where it was filmed?

Cheers,

Pix

edited to spell the name correctly.

Not sure where it was filmed but I'm guessing Britian, in the late 60s/70s. Will try and find out. Martin is sadly no longer with us, but Heather is still alive, and their children Libby and Simon still work in various areas of puppetry,

Martin is one of the few I've seen that inspires. The caterpillar was taught to me by Jim Gamble.
Thanks Wanlu and M_M for your kind comments and words of encouragements.
