My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

Richard Simmons? Seriously, John Oats looks the most like Henning (he used to anyway).

My wife suggests Jackie Chan, as he can do ANYTHING on-screen.

I guess they could rewrite the part to suit and give him lines like: "It's an illusion - deal with it."

Zac Efron. He's a little young, but I think he's a good physical match.

As a young thirty year old, watching Doug's first tv special, Christmas 1975, it was very clear at that time he was on a mission to bring magic back into theater arts- and breath new life into the dead acts of the club era. He single-handedly revived magic and brought it to a whole new generation, alive and kicking.
To pay tribute to his life with silly SNL nobody actors or tween heart throbs is a waste of time and money.
Either Hollywood gets off its lazy backside and makes an honest bio of him, or stick to car chases, explosions and mindless video game drivel it's famous for dumping into the society.
Nothing is truer than the incomprehensible, because the sum total of our knowledge consists of the fact that we know nothing. Our reality is an illusion. Thus illusion is reality-Punx

Yes - that could work - he's got the energy and enthusiasm to communicate what Doug Henning brought to audiences.
