I have been working on this move for some time and so far have not been able to find it in print anywhere. Without tipping the method, it is a visible color change of a coin that is trapped inside of a coin fan. In other words, the center coin of a three coin fan visibly changes from say an English penny to a half dollar. There are no gimmicks involved. I have shown the move to Wesley James, David Roth, Sol Stone and some others and while it does borrow from other moves, it does not appear to have been developed before. However, it is posible that something has been overlooked. Therefore, while I understand that without the method it is not possible to make a judgement, I am asking that if anybody knows of anything similar in effect to please let me know so I can check it out. Thanks in advance.

I may put it into print eventually. That is one of the reasons I want to research it fully. I'm not in a rush to put it in print though I do have a write-up on it for my own reference.

Hi Matt. I have a move where a copper coin is held in a fan between two silver coins. With a wave of the hand, the THREE coins change, to a silver coin held in a fan between two COPPER coins. It was published in my second set of lecture notes, from 1985. If you write me at my E-mail address, I'll be glad to discuss it with you.

Can't remember where it was published but French magician Bilis (can't recall his first name) did a routine about 30 years ago in which a copper coin was put between two silver coins and the copper coin changed to silver.
It could be done one-handed.
Sorry I can't be of more help.
cheers,

Hi Pete, It was Bernard Bilis. I can't remember his routine though.

Right! Bernard Bilis. The routine was published in Genii in the late '60s or early '70s.
cheers,

Are either of you familiar with the move? I will try and track down the Genii reference. Thank you.

Hey Michael,

Are your notes still available? They sound great.
