I wanted to ask a similar question. Me have successfully outstripped.
Mine Omni for a long time dusted in corner. Hands didn't reach. Now there is an occasion. Thanx.

James Brown's Omni Deck routine is a standard for me. Great thinking and very magical. The best part? If you buy Prof Opp V1 you get that and MANY other killer routines.

I have one of Farquhar's and while it stayed pretty scratch resistant, it isn't resistant to Dog bite marks. Haha. Add's character I guess.

His routine is the best I've seen. I was so impressed with it, that I used the plot of the effect and adapted it to a coin effect. His ideas turned a quickie trick into a presentation piece.

One of the issues for table hoppers is the fact that omni deck obviously takes up as much space in the pocket as another deck ( brainwave, id, md etc.) and as space is at a premium for most of us that's why I haven't used it on a regular basis, ending my acr routine with the signed card in wallet which is instantly reset. Can't knock the effect it has on the spectators though.

Don't forget that Wizard reviewers Craig and David also have a great treatment for Omni Deck with the WOW face down effect... Looks beautiful.

Hi, I was just wondering if someone could please point me into the direction of where I might be able to find out a bit more about Craig and David's work in combining the omni deck and wow2 gimmick?

Also, I was wondering if anyone cared to share the presentational nuances they've used to justify the appearance of the crystal block at the end? As whilst the trick obviously garners great reactions, thematically, the appearance of the block is a bit random to say the least

Thanks

I wouldn't worry about justifying the "omni" block. The original routine is a basic ACR routine, you offer a closer look by placing the deck in their hand. They and everyone else are shocked they've been holding a block of plastic the whole time. I wouldn't be worried about justifying the end of this particular effect.

Alright, so I have a question for you all, are there any routines that don't require a jacket for the omni deck?

Calzaghe's Opener, from Matthew Wright's The Unusual Suspect DVD. Awesome incorporation of the omni deck as the climax to a longer powerhouse routine.
Now appearing nightly in my basement.

Topchange52, I agree that as table hoppers, the size of the deck can be a problem (depending on how big the show is an also how much different sets of routines you'll have to use). My idea for this was to create a little elastic gimmick (same material as the splash bottle) that I attach to my belt and that can hold the omni deck without requiring any pocket space. And that way, it's also easier to reach, I don't have to put my hands in my pockets.
I hope it helps!

You're very welcome. I'll post a picture as soon as I get home so that you can see (I mean it's pretty easy but it could be useful for 1 or 2 persons).

Hey Guys, I love using the Omni deck. It's a great effect to conclude a series of card tricks with. Leaves the spectator wondering where the deck went Smile

Also... I actually made the Omni deck myself, and it costs at least 3 times cheaper then the other ones. PM me if you want me to send you one.. or a couple Smile

One of the best ways to use the Omni-Deck: 1. Magician selects a card from the deck and signs it. 2. Participant chooses card from deck and signs it. 3. Magician's card goes on the bottom of the deck, Participant's card goes on top of the deck. 4. Deck is placed in-between the Participants hands. 5. After a snap of the fingers, the Participant opens their hands and the whole deck is now a block of glass except for the 2 signed cards.
Are you watching closely?
