For taking up all his wife's time! I'm still taking baby steps in magic and am very new to the board, but this place just blows me away! There's so much here and it seems most of my computing time is spent cruising around, reading new threads and investigating the old.
I just wanted to say a very large and heartfelt, "thank you!" to Steve and everyone behind the scenes that make the magic here happen. I don't know that I can include my husband in those good wishes, however: "Honey, when's dinner?" "Just a sec. Let me finish reading this...." |

LOL! Very funny, Bean!
It might wind up as a “class-action” suit. Just last night I got my wife to go with me to an IBM meeting, her first, mainly because it was the Christmas Party & Close-up Show. She had a good time, and even got picked as a “volunteer” helper, but when it was over I got to hear her “analysis” of the people and personalities, Magic’s value as a hobby / pastime / avocation, and whether “duplicity” counted as a character trait. One of the guys had mentioned that he’d spent over $XXX (several thousand) on magic over the years. Of course she remembered that part. ![]() On the good side, she’s sure she could manage some of the effects, so at least I’ve got her thinking in the right direction. Magic is not an addiction. I can stop it anytime I want to. (…but who wants to???)
...what if I could read your mind?

Hehehehehe. Good one.I joined a few years ago and came around one in awhile ( I always forgot to log on, so I guess I was considered a lurking member ). Recently I've been able to spend more time and I'm having a ball. Friendly people and more magic information than I could absorb in a lifetime. If I can't have a brick and mortal with seasoned performers helping me, I found a good alternative here at The Magic Café.

Yes the ability to learn and meet new friends is great. I am sorry that I stopped my magic but I am back full force ,I am learning sleights (should say practicing)and just having a great time. Also we can avoid wasting hard earned money buy reviewing here too.
